Part 1:
If I had 20 minuetes to talk to Obama I would congratulate him on his victory and tell him I'm happy he ended up bein pres cause he deserves it then I would ask him how he is going to make more jobs availble and how he is planning on getting us out of this recession. I would also ask what he plans to do about healthcare and having everyone be able to afford it. I would also ask him if he would be willing to spend some more money on charaties and helping out countries in africa like giving them food or misqueto nets so they dont get malaria. I would also talk to him about what he thinks about Nasa spending and how he could reorginize some of the money that is given in the gvernment. Then I would ask him questions about how it feels to be the first african american president and what he thinks of sarah palin.
Part 2:
1.I bet in the future like when we are 21 the big issues will be who has bombs and what countries seem unstable. It could also be the issue of lowering the drinking age because that would happen right after we turn 21. Or actually it probably will be what to do about overpopulation, and immagration in the U.S, or global warming and how we need to reduce its effects. Thats what it probably will be.
2. Overpopulation and global warming will probably still be issues. And the loss of resources like we probably wont have any natural resources and the world will be really overpopulated and nothing will be natureal anymore. I'm not very optimistic to be honest I think the world will probably end by then but who knows things might just be fine and well solve global warming and everything will be fine.
Part 3: Into the wild blog
1.I really like this book, its boring at some parts espically when talking about facts and stuff but its intresting because the author builds up Chris's character so much that you want to hear what happens to him. I like the stories that are actually about Chris interacting because it makes him seem somewhat more normal. I also sort of enjoy knowing where this story is going so reading it is like the background of Chris's life.
2.Independent, because thats basically all he wants to be through out the whole story. He just wants to pave his own path and follow his own guidelines so i think independent is a good word. Or unrealistic because of all the things he does and the things he beileves.
3.One theme could be pave your own path. Or indivuality is crucial to have an intersting and unique life. Chris demonstrates both these themes basically in everything he does
4.Chris is kind of like that kid in Sprit bear, because he has a troubled family life and he goes out into the wilderness
5.I used to be really into not conforming and hating authority which i think is like Chris. He believes that no one should control anyone else which i also think is true
6.Chris could represent alot of youth in America today;unsettled with authority, with a need for adventure, and a hope for change.

review:worst movie ever
Journey To The Center Of The Earth:
a. Journey to the center of the earth was an far fetched and very annoying movie. What happened was a father and his son and I think a random british girl went to a field to look for fossils or something when a giant lightening storm hits. Of course they stay out there too long and the lightening starts almost striking them and they run to a cave to try to be safe. The lightening follows them and strikes a rock which triggers an avalanche of rocks that traps the 3 explorers in a cave. They have to find a way out so they start looking and end up falling into the center of the earth. There they go through all these adventures and different lands and get into all sorts of intersting situatios but all of them are unrealistic and you get distracted by Brandon Frasiers bad acting. And it's 3d which makes you feel sick. The end is a typical disney ending but I wont give it away.
b. The plot was really basic and easy to guess what would happen. You could tell they would all survive and that Brandon Fraiser gets the girl adn they all live happily ever after. It was just predictable and boring. Plus it didnt really have any elements that a normal movie with a plot would have. It was just for younger kids maybe.
c. The theme would probably be that you can do anything if you have a good enough imagination. Or that books can spark your imagination becuase I think all of this story was based off a book. So it could be trying to tell people that they should read more and that reading can take you to magical places or something. Like encouraging the people who would like that movoie ( Younger kids) to read.
d.Trevor Anderson (Brandon Fraiser)- he is the scientist who is looking for his brother and trying to prove that his brothers ideas were right. Basically he is trying to finish what his brother started with his data. He is also the stud who gets the girl in the end of the movie. Sean Anderson is trevors son. Hes the obnoxious but clever little kid who is always there. Hannah is the girl who comes along who always seems to be in peril and trevor is always there to save her.
e.The style is futureistic and outlandish. It basically is made up landscapes and digital backgrounds and it is supposed to feel like your in another world. So the mood changes as the different climates in the other world change. Alot of times you could tell that the scene was computer animated which was annoying but there was also some legit movie animation for some scenes. And it was in 3d so...
"If your mother asks you where you went this weekend, tell her your uncle took you to Italy. "

REVIEW
Joy Ride
a. So there's this guy named Lewis who is secretly in love with a girl from his past called Venna. She suggests that he comes to visit her by driving to her college and picking her up then driving back to their home town. Unfortunatly on his way to pick Venna up, Lewis's brother Fuller gets in jail and needs to be bailed out. Lewis goes to help him and together they start driving to get Venna. Along the way Fuller gets a CB radio installed and they begin to have some fun messing with the truckers that use the CB radio. They pretend to be a girl and get the attention of one particular trucker "rusty nail". They convince rusty nail to meet the fake girl at their hotel in the next room over. From then on its suspense and thrills as rusty nail tries to teach the 2 boys a lesson in any way he can. The only way they can correspond was from a CB radio.
b. I liked the story line, it was intreguing and it had the right characters to make it intersting. They picked people that complimented each other nicely and it was creative and full of suspense. The plot also was intersting because it could theoretically happen and its everyones worst nightmere so all the action keeps you on edge.
c. The theme of the movie I think was to watch who you mess with because things have a way of biteing you in the back if you are not careful. This is proved by the fact that what the boys thought was innocent fun turned into a run for their lives.
d. The main characters were Fuller, Lewis, Venna, and rusty nail. Fuller was the funny jokester brother who created trouble everywhere he went. Lewis was the put together guy who cared about Venna and was the brains of the opperation. Venna was the "pretty" girl who was smart but usually ended up in the damsal in distress position. Rusty nail was the elusive mysterious trucker who had a really creepy voice and was really creative when it came to ways of torturing the other 3 main characters.
e. The directors style was dark and simplistic. Everything was pretty simple and just like real life like the truck stops they stoped at were all legit and it seemed like they actually could be making a cross country journey.

Love is like a good song because it makes people happy and sometimes people can be over it and avoid it.
It goes to your ears and your eyes light up
It’s the song that you’ve been waiting for
Amazing
Awesome
A good song to hear
It lights up your world when it comes on
Your excited and hope this feeling last long
The song keeps playing and you love it more
Until one day it becomes a bore
And you move on to something new
Something Sweet
Super
Something not blue
But sometimes you like a song forever
And it stays in your head and you like it better and better
Love is like a good song in that way
That it makes you happy and sometimes you want it to go away
It goes to your ears and your eyes light up
It’s the song that you’ve been waiting for

POETRY
Mentor
Timothy Murphy
For Robert Francis
Had I known, only known
when I lived so near,I'd have gone, gladly gone
foregoing my fearof the wholly grown
and the nearly great.
But I learned alone,so I learned too late.
I selected this poem because its intresting and meaningful. I like how he acknowalges that he missed an oppurtunity to have a mentor and I think its intrsting that he choose this topic to write a poem about.
The title is obviously about what the poem is about which is a mentor. Probably named robert francis.
He doesnt really do anything creative in this poem other than some ryhming and used words like wholly and such
The tone seems like its of regret and longing for a missed oppurtunity

love<3
A gentle word like a spark of light,Illuminates my soul
And as each sound goes deeper,It's YOU that makes me whole
There is no corner, no dark place,YOUR LOVE cannot fill
And if the world starts causing waves,It's your devotion that make them still
And yes you always speak to me,In sweet honesty and truth
Your caring heart keeps out the rain,YOUR LOVE, the ultimate roof
So thank you my Love for being there,For supporting me, my life
I'll do the same for you, you know,My Beautiful, Darling Wife.
- David G. Kelly -
Theme: It is about a guys extreme love for his wife and how her love can do many things and means alot to him.
Metaphor: He uses the metaphor "a gentle word like a spark of light illuminates my soul" he uses this to show how intense his wife's love is and how it can preform incredable feats
My metaphor is love is like a wish on a penny in a fountian because sometimes peoples wishes come true and other times they dont and sometimes its just not the right time to throw the penny.
